Into The Pink, Part 2 Our Favorite Pink Products for a Rosy Holiday Season
By Gigi Anders
We began this mini-series this past September, in advance of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. But pink is a beauty perennial. Now that we’re in November, we have lots of other delicious ones that will see you through the holidays and beyond.
Neutrogena is a reliable go-to here in Beauty Land. These three new products are, as the kids say, the bomb.
Body Clear Body Wash Pink Grapefruit ($8.49). If the fab smell doesn’t wake you up, nothing can. This salicylic acid acne treatment with Vitamin C helps clear bacne and the like sans harshness.
Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment ($19.99). I’m in love with this neat, slim, portable device. Its self-timed light therapy targets and treats pop-up pimples in two minutes. You click it on, cover the pimple with the warm light, and that’s it. The red pimple that used to be right under the left side of my lower lip was visibly shrunk and calmed in a single go. A-mazing.
MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Cherry Pink 150 ($8.99). Though this fat crayon looks dark, it goes on as if your lips are cranberry smoothie-stained, and feels like buttah thanks to creamy mango and shea butters. You won’t even need a mirror.
Speaking of buttah, you have got to try this insanely affordable and awesome Moda Complexion Brush BMD-185 ($7.99) in fuchsia. Next to an Actual Kitten, this brush is the softest, furriest, sweetest thing you can own. Ideal for powder and wet or dry foundation application, this 100% vegan brush has professional quality fibers; a waterproof, no-slide, grippy handle; and is a cinch to clean and maintain.
For bath time, you can’t go wrong with Philosophy. Renowned for their shampoo-shower gel-bubble bath combos, this fresh quartet of pinkness will leave you feeling as rosy as their contents.
Amazing Grace Ballet Rose ($25). A long-stemmed rose bouquet in your arms after your brilliant ballet recital.
Pure Grace Nude Rose ($25). You’ve washed off your stage makeup, changed into street clothes, and are going to a late dinner with your lover. A single petal from your bouquet drops to the pavement. He picks it up and slips it in your coat pocket “For luck, when you don’t remember you have it.”
Amazing Grace ($17 - $38). Luxuriating in a warm bath afterward, with little lit candles all around.
Raspberry Sorbet ($18). Awakening the following day to a bowl of cold, fresh raspberries and cream.
Jurlique Rose Hand Cream Handpicked 2017 ($58). This to-die-for limited edition formula celebrates the scent and the beauty of the 1,800 Rose gallica bushes at the Jurlique Farm in South Australia, which were handpicked in January this year. The unique natural rose fragrance of this deeply hydrating cream evokes freshly handpicked petals, while its exclusive rose extracts leave hands soft and supple. It’s a killer.
GO SMILE Sonic Blue Susan G. Komen Whitening Kit ($99). This limited edition electric pink toothbrush with patented, bacteria-bashing blue light wave technology whitens as you brush. Two minutes, twice a day, on the timed regular or gentle setting, deliver significantly brighter, cleaner teeth in weeks. Along with the brush, the kit comes with Advanced Formula Teeth Whitening Gel with Hyperox™ Technology (virtually no sensitivity as reported in Columbia University clinical trials); Luxury Mint Toothpaste with Vitamins A, C, and E; two replacement brush heads with covers, a tooth whitening shade chart, and a charging system. What’s more, GO SMILE will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for each online purchase. Feel good, do good.
NU•ME Bold Hair Dryer in Pink ($99). Officially obsessed. This light, powerful, ergonomic dryer uses far infrared and ion conditioning technology to heat hair follicles from the cortex. Meaning you get healthy, glossy, gorgeous results every time. A favorite of Devin Toth, our beloved More Lovely hairstylist guru from Salon SCK, this professional salon-quality tool performs safely, flawlessly, and fast. Happy hairlidays!
